Do comedians really need profanity to be funny?
Funny men and story tellers such as Bill Cosby and Garrison Keillor seem to be the exception to the rule, but almost every comedian Ive seen recently on channels like HBO and Comedy Central seem to have jokes just peppered with more fourletter words than I can count. Other than shock value, is there a reason that that comics would want barrage their fans with this brand of humor when the jokes would be just as funny without the quotextraquot words? Im not out to censor what people want to hear, but can anyone name a successful comic that has a quotcleanquot act?

It depends on who you identify with. I, personally, identify with George Carlin better than Garrison Keillor, although theyre both funny to me. But, if your everyday speech tends to include four letter words, youll tend to listen to the comedian who uses them in their act.

Sometimes, I just want to go back to caveman days where there was nothing... none of the complications we have today. Like, I wish I could just be myself, and Im sure back then being yourself was really easy because seriously... what else could you be? Couldnt be a Christian... couldnt be an atheist... couldnt be a politician, or a liberal, or a conservative... you could probably just be you.

you were born in this time for a reason. you probably chose it yourself, and feeling homesick for a time in a past life. bryou are you. if you left all of the things that you feel are in your way technology and stuff you would more easily find you. and as far as being a christian or athiest or whatever, why try to be any of those things? be you. dont try to squeeze into a label. find out who you are and let that be it. bri know that once i figured that out for myself, all the things that i thought mattered, didt really. i really enjoy life now.br find a Reiki healer and have your chakras cleared, it will make a HUGE differance in how clearly you can think and you will even feel more energized, and fresh in your body.

A question that crossed my mind more than once. However, youll find many people here do read other books but in the same grade as those. The hamburger literature grade. But thats just fine, most people love hamburgers. Personally, they make me sick, but thats just me. brbrI am currently finishing The Castle Kafka, a book about Heidegger, a book about improving memory gettin old hehe and Kaspariana essays by Slobodan Šnajder.brbrOne more thing not all comic books are hamburgers. Yes, all the Marvel ones are, but that doesnt even begin to cover it. Id like to see anyone find a fault with The Nikopol Trilogy, for instance.

Did the last book of the twilight series, breaking dawn, ruin the whole series?
I just finished reading the third book, eclipse, but I read a couple of articles that said that breaking dawn sucked and ruined the series I havent read it yet but I want to know if Im going to be disappointed or not?

No it didnt ruin the series. Every single book in the series was terrible, so its hard for just the last one to ruin them. The bad writing, purple prose, underdeveloped characters and the glorification of abusive relationships in every one of the books ruined the series.
